It told her of three missions she must complete
before her time was through:
The first would be the tipping point
of who the war would win
to capture Orleans from the English
because France's it had been
The second task that must be done
Charles the VII, France's leader so young
They told her, the king, he must become
Ousting England would prove too hard
her captors were heartless
her record was marred
The Maid of Heaven was burned
but she knew that she would live in heaven
that is the dream for which her soul yearned
