Library visits

We're learning our way around the local library.  As recommended in The Well-Trained Mind, each child checks out the following books (and then some!) on each library visit:
a science book
an history book
an art or music appreciation book
a practical book (a craft, hobby, or "how-to")
a biography or autobiography
a classic novel (or an adaptation suited to age)
an imaginative storybook
and
a book of poetry

Hi! Okay I haven't looked at my school blog for ages and just found you there. I'm glad you like the Well-Trained Mind. It's intensive but very good. I'll read your blog and get some ideas...it's crazy how many of my old friends are homeschooling. I just had 3 this year tell me they pulled their kids out of school.
